I really wanted a dozen pork tamales in a hurry and remembered I had them here years ago. I decided to call to place an order to go for them late afternoon. The place is big inside but not many people were dining. I was greeted by a really nice hostess at the front. She noticed that they had my bag ready with the sides (rice and beans) but not the tamales. She quickly ran to the kitchen and then told me it would take a few more minutes. Because of this short wait, she insisted I get piping hot beans and rice instead of the ones in the bag that were lukewarm. I appreciated that. Once I got home, I plated everything and it was really good. There was just enough pork inside each tamale and the rice and refried beans were flavorful. For under $20 for a dozen tamales, I was quite satisfied! I'll be back for more!
